ISO14001
SAKURAI acquired ISO 14001 certification, the international standard for environmental management systems, in March 2001.
The scope of certification covers the following:
At the Head Office and Funaoka Plant: design, development, manufacturing, installation, repair, and inspection of machine tools, as well as manufacturing of components for transportation equipment.
At the Hosoe Plant: manufacturing of components for transportation equipment.

To achieve this policy, we implement the following actions:
1. Identify and understand customer requirements and expectations, as well as relevant legal and regulatory requirements, and ensure they are fully reflected and satisfied in our product specifications.
2. To achieve the quality policy, we set and implement quality objectives, strive to maintain and improve performance, and review these objectives regularly. We also ensure that the necessary management resources are available.
3. Operate our Quality Management System in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9001, and continually strive for improvement.
4. Regularly review the quality policy to ensure it remains appropriate and effective.
Environmental Policy
At Sakurai Manufacturing Co., Ltd., we recognize the environmental impacts of our core businesses—manufacturing of machine tools and transportation equipment components—and are committed to environmental protection and the prevention of pollution.
In the field of machine tools, we strive to support our customers in improving productivity while contributing to energy and resource conservation through the proposal and provision of environmentally conscious products and systems. In our component processing business, we aim to contribute to the protection of both local and global environments through eco-friendly process design and enhanced production efficiency using in-house machinery, thereby helping to build a sustainable and prosperous society.
To fulfill this policy, we carry out the following initiatives:
1. Comply not only with environmental laws, regulations, agreements, and industry standards, but also establish voluntary criteria wherever technically and economically feasible, in order to promote pollution prevention and environmental conservation.
2. Evaluate the environmental impacts of our business activities and products from a life cycle perspective, and actively address the following:
①Development of environmentally friendly products, focusing on energy and resource efficiency
②Promotion of energy and resource savings, and reduction of CO₂ emissions
③Reduction and recycling of waste
④Prevention of environmental pollution and consideration for the surrounding environment
3. Continually improve our Environmental Management System through regular reviews.
4. Establish environmental objectives and ensure that all departments and employees participate in promoting environmental management, raising environmental awareness, and striving to become an environmentally responsible company.
